Hydrogen Sulphide occurs naturally in sewers, oil and gas wells and can collect in low lying and enclosed spaces like manholes, sewers and underground vaults. The presence of H2S makes working in confined spaces potentially extremely dangerous.

(MPS) Flammable Gases

Gases such as Methane, Hydrogen, Ethane, Propane, Butane, solvent vapours etc are commonly present in confined spaces.

Oxygen levels can be quickly depleted by dilution from other gases and chemical absorption by reactions such as the corrosion process.
