Gas Detector Calibration Service
Calibration and service of your personal gas monitors and detectors is a key activity to ensure your units comply with legislation and regulations. Manufacturers of gas monitors recommend that these meters are calibrated every 6 months to ensure the integrity of the sensors and confirm that the personal gas detector will alarm in the event of a toxic or flammable gas exposure.
Here at Gas Monitor Point our engineers are manufacturer trained in the calibration and service of portable gas detectors by Honeywell, BW, MSA Safety, Blackline Safety and Crowcon.
We can even carry out the calibration and service of your personal gas detectors by Honeywell, BW and Crowcon at your site if this is more suitable for you (minimum of 10 meters required).
On receipt of your portable gas detectors, our authorised engineers will carry out an inspection, calibration and issue a test certificate, if on inspection we find any errors or sensor replacement requirements we will contact you with a quotation to carry out any additional works.

Fixed Gas Detection System Service
Point Safety Ltd offer a wide range of service contracts for your gas detection fixed system, whether this is an existing system or a new system we have the capability and experience to offer a bespoke contract to suit your requirements and the service requirements of your system.
Gas detection fixed systems do require essential calibration and service to ensure that the readings that they provide are both accurate and reliable, also that in the event of an exposure to gases the detection fixed system will activate the required alarm levels and trigger relevant beacons and sounders.
The majority of gas detection manufacturers recommend that the systems are serviced and calibrated at least every 6 months although this may need to be more frequent in some cases dependant on the environment and critical processes.
During a service and calibration visit our engineers will visually inspect the gas detection system and apply certified test gases to the sensors, adjustments will be made to improve accuracy and account for any drift to the sensors since the last calibration.
Our gas detection system servicing and calibration services are available for most manufacturer equipment and sensors.
