Helen
Accounts Manager
Helen is the second longest serving member of the team, joining the company in 2012. Helen’s main role is Accounts Manager, where she looks after all money coming in and out of the business and ensuring that everyone is paid that needs to be, and payments are collected. Helen wears many hats at Point Safety, not only looking after the financial side of things, but also the office and all things human resources.
Helen joined the team, after spending 21 years flying around the world, as cabin crew. After that time, she realised she had a good head for number, so re-trained as certified accountant and the rest, as they say is history.

Ben
Business Development Manager
Ben joined the company in 2022, after spending nearly 5 years delivering Gas Detection Solutions to the Marine Industry. Ben has a vast experience in many disciplines.
Bens’s role is to oversee the customer service and sales teams within the business along with working closely with key customers & suppliers to constantly evolve our products and services.

Chris
Engineering Manager
Chris has been in the industry for over 15 years, working on and running projects offshore in the North, Irish and Adriatic sea. He has also project managed and commissioned gas/fire detection systems in Yanbu Saudi Arabia, Manama Bahrain, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.
He served his time in the Royal Air Force where he also enjoyed a varied sports career, mainly Rugby Union but specifically Boxing when after winning national titles, he was very proud to have been selected to represent England.
Chris lives in a beautiful part of North Wales with his wife and family. He loves long walks with his children and dogs and family days out…given half the chance!!

Dawn
Customer Sales and Marketing Representative
Dawn has gained an extensive background within customer service roles in retail environments, as well as being a highly creative individual, having studied Art and Design for six years. She has now joined the Point Safety team, where she can bring her strong commercial and creative knowledge and experience to her role as sales and marketing representative.
In her spare time, she likes to create and exhibit art work, as well as socialise with friends and family.

James
Technical Sales Representative
James began working for Point Safety in February of 2015 after working as a technician in Germany for 6 months. He has since become our Technical Sales specialist for portable detection and therefore responsible for understanding customers complex applications and helping to provide bespoke solutions. After many different manufacturer and in-house training courses, James is fully trained and has gained vital experience with the majority of portable gas detectors in the industry, which include; BW, Honeywell, RAE, Crowcon, MSA, Industrial Scientific, GMI and Draeger. James has also gained experience from various different on-site visits for major organisations such as ones in the healthcare and medicine industry, a variety of universities and also an assortment of breweries. In his spare time, James enjoys training and keeping fit at the gym and also socialising with friends.

Carys
Customer Sales Representative
Carys is new to our customer service team , joining us in November 2022.
Currently undertaking extensive product training as well as supporting other members of the team where she is learning to adapt her skills to a new challenge.

Jane
Operations Co-Ordinator
Jane joined the company in May 2016, after many, many years working in and around customer services. After a short spell in the portable sales team here, she moved over to become the Operations Co-ordinator, which puts her experienced organisational skills to very good use. Jane splits her time between scheduling site work for the engineers, including surveys, installations, commissioning, and service, creating maintenance contracts, and providing fixed gas detection quotes, with a little bit of account management thrown in the mix. Some would say its organised chaos! Her greatest achievement so far with Point Safety is the daily management of one of the largest operators of restaurants, pubs, and bars in the UK, and all their CO2 requirements.
In her spare time, Jane likes to try and raise money for the charity, Alzheimer’s Society. Taking part in the Great North Swim, abseil and three walking marathons over the last few years. As well as attending Gin based events and catching up with friends & family up and down the country.

Abi
Operations Administrator
Abi joined the company in 2017 after previously spending 11 years working in Customer Service within Insurance where she spent most of her time dealing with incoming calls, claims, payments, and complaints.
Abi’s role is to manage the purchasing and replenishment of products sold by us. A key aspect is to maintain the stock levels agreed by the business, liaise with the sales team to update them and our customers when the stock is due. Ensure all orders are packaged and ready in a timely manner. Maintain relationships with the suppliers and customers and provide excellent customer service.
In Abi’s spare time she likes to go on country walks with her dog Cooper, play computer games with her son, and catch up with my family and friends. Abi also enjoys live music, going to the cinema and reading.

Barry
Calibration Workshop Manager
Barry joined Point Safety in 2012, after being an owner and operator of a licensed taxi for 22 years. Barry’s greatest achievement whilst working for Point Safety is being involved with the on-going customer care and on-site calibration requirements of the largest applied physics organisation in the UK, as well as a multinational brewing company and a global healthcare company.
Barry has many sporting hobbies, from winter skiing to summer cycling and windsurfing whilst holidaying around the world. As well as this, he likes to socialise with friends and spend quality time with his family and beloved dog; Bentley.

Matt
Calibration Technician
In November 2016, Matthew joined the Point Safety team as a Calibration Technician in the service department. He previously worked for a year in the support department of a well-established solicitors. Matthew has gained an extensive knowledge of many different gas detection monitors from several manufacturers. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with friends and family, long walks with his dog Misty, and partaking in a variety of sporting activities.

Administrative Assistant
Caroline joined Point Safety after being in the hospitality trade for 25 years. She is enjoying her new role as Administrative Assistant and she looks forward to implementing her customer service experience to assist customer requirements. She enjoys spending her spare time walking, relaxing and days out with family and friends.

John
Field Service and Calibration Engineer
John began working for Point Safety in March 2018. Everyday as a service engineer brings new challenges and involves learning something different, which has improved his understanding and he can use this to the company’s advantage.
He lives in Manchester with his partner and two beautiful boys, who he looks after at the weekend. He wants his boys to see their dad as someone to look up to, so they know how to work hard but also be lovable and have fun too.

Surfraz
Field Service and Calibration Engineer
Surfraz is as a field service engineer based in the Midlands. He is a highly trained and knowledgeable engineer, having many years experience of electrical engineering and maintenance under his belt.
