Looking at the Blackline Service Plan Options

Looking at the Blackline Service Plan Options

15th Aug 2023

Six years ago, Blackline Safety released the Blackline G7.

But it was the alternative versions of this impressive model that changed the gas safety game. The G7’s connected counterpart, the Blackline G7c, was the world’s first 3G gas detector. Now utilising fast 2G AND 4G technology, the G7c is the most connected gas detector on the market.

This extra connectivity offers a range of bonus features for these gas detectors, including Push to Talk functionality and real-time alert systems. These functions can be accessed through a range of Service Plans, which allows Blackline users to curate their gas safety solutions to suit their specific needs.

Today, we’ll look at the different plans surrounding the G7c and what they offer.

Standard System Access

Even without the additional services, the G7c is quite impressive.

As mentioned, it features 4G connectivity which allows the device to connect to Blackline Live.

Blackline Live

Blackline Live is Blackline Safety’s safety management and productivity system. This system allows for efficient fleet management.

Users can:

  • Overlook their entire fleet from one central hub
  • Locate specific workers and tailor user access
  • Customise device configurations over-the-air
  • Perform firmware and configuration updates

With ‘Standard System Access’, you can receive data over the cloud, keeping your team connected and safe at all times while monitoring productivity.

But if you want a little more connectivity, the G7c has an optional ‘Push-To-Talk’ capability. This lets your field operatives send one-way voice messages through the device, allowing them to properly articulate a problem - something that can be key to saving lives.

Self-Monitored

The first pair of service plans outside of the ‘Standard System Access’ and ‘System Access with Push-To-Talk’ functions are Blackline’s self-monitored services, ‘Self-Monitored + Voice’ and ‘Self-Monitored + Voice + PTT’.

These push the G7c’s connectivity functions even further, allowing for a greater level of alerts and notifications, including:

  • Real-time alerts
  • Fall detection, no-motion and check-in systems
  • Customisable emergency response protocols
  • Mass notifications

The talk function is also increased, letting users send two-way voice messages and allowing for an even greater level of clarity.

Real-time alerts send emails and texts to those highlighted in your safety protocol when a unit goes into alarm, ensuring you can react quickly if any of your team have been exposed to gas or suffered a fall.

In addition to this, ‘Self-Monitored’ gives users access to the Base Blackline Analytics found in the System access plan, which gives fleet managers a comprehensive look at all the data your device fleet has collected.

This option is perfect for larger teams, where jobs often involve working alone.

Blackline 24/7 Live

The final two service options make you and your workers more connected than ever.

On top of all of the above, you also get the added benefit of trained responder handling alerts. This service grants access to Blackline’s 24/7 monitoring, meaning you’ve got extra eyes looking out for you and your staff. Because safety is paramount, Blackline promises a 99.5% response time in under 60 seconds.

For any users who are frequently entering dangerous workspaces and want their team to have the highest levels of protection, this is certainly worth considering.
